2001 Accent 1.6 Multiple Cylinder Misfire, Cy, 2,3
Hey Guys,
Girlfriends Car: 2001 Hyundai Accent 1.6L 5M, GLS.
Been getting a flashing CEL on in gear deceleration only, usually ~2000RPM.
Getting Multiple cylinder misfire, cyl 2 and 3. (P0300, P0302, P0303).
Its also had a slow 02 sensor issue, and 1 no start at all issue - these were both fixed replacing the usual suspects (flex, 02, and crank sensor)
Been reading up alot here, so have done the following in the past 6 months:
Replaced Crank Sensor
Replaced Cam Sensor
Replaced Rusted out Flex pipe
Replaced upstream 02 sensor
Replaced Coil Pack
Replaced Spark Plugs
Replaced Wires.
Out of ideas here guys, I cant find a fuel filter under the hood, so I suspect its in the tank, and I have run a couple cans of fuel system cleaner. Car seems to run just fine, accelerates fine, idles fine, just misfires sometimes on deacceleration.
Anyway, its time for emissions, and of course it wont pass.
I have spent $600 on this car in the last 4 mo's, and am out of ideas!
Thanks for your help!

Unplug the maf sensor located between the air box and the throttle
Body. see if it runs right if it does bingo you got it and two clamps
And a clip and replace. That is what is was on mine. Never replace random parts it cost alot more then is would if you test more or even took
It to a shop and had them diagnose and you fix.

Also the fuel filter is under a panel under the rear seat very easy access no need the drop the tank make sure you depressurize the fuel system if you don't there will be a mess
Of gas is all. Those filters hold a ton of gas so have towels and a bucket ready to put it in quick
