What is to be discussed about that ? When engine runs fine and all that fails is the tach what else than ign.fail.sensor is the prime suspect (and it is known to fail ...) ???
Easy to diagnose, too. Read codes, get P0320, wham !
Or put piece of wire instead of sensor (read the appropriate pins from the schematic) to feed coils and if nothing changes and engine still runs the same way as before ...

Maybe one day the OP will report back here. Until then, I'm out.
Didn't say you were wrong. Just that if the engine doesn't run then it could also be the other sensors or even the ECM.
But, the thread starter said it was running. So, you were right.
And I learned something new.

Wow, never seen somebody get so touchy when they were right.
