just wanted to check if anyone here has done some remapping and how much of a difference it makes? i am not talking about the piggy back systems but a complete remap of the ECM.

I don't know if you are still intersted after two years, but I am taking my Hyundai i30 for remapping tomorrow and if the BHP promised and the top speed promised and the 12% better MPG promised that is all I ask !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'd love to see if anyone has done it on a 2004 - 2006 Elantras. My 06 seems strangled at higher RPMs.

 

Question. Does "remapping" void your warranty? What about the computer module swaps that allegedly increase power & gas mileage? Thank you.

 

What is remapping? I have never really messed around with imports since my primary car is a 71 GTO, but I have been getting more into my sonata lately and I noticed you talking about remapping and control module swapping. What exactly is this? What are the benefits? Can I do it on my 4 cylinder Sonata?
