My car runs like s>>t ,turned on check engine light,checked code with code reader ,shows po102,( mass air flow) low volumn ,does this mean I need to replace it ? air filter is clean ,can see no dust or anything else in the hose ,all looks clean an conection is good an clean , thanks for any advice Chestnut1[:@]

 

Yeah, the MAF is probably bad and needs to be replaced. Get it checked first.

 

Hi , had it tested an its bad,Now the fun part is the local dealer doesn't have one ,they said it would take 3 days to get an 275 for the part an they wanted 165 to install it Ha Ha , two hose clamps an one elc. plug, Don't think so , may end up having to buy from them because there is no aftermarket supplier around that has one either. Isn't your car still under warranty? It's still less that 5 years old even if it's used? The MAF shoudl be covered under the 10/100K warranty for the original owner or the 5/60K for the 2nd owner.

 

No not under warranty, the wife works 75 miles away an that is one way so she put on 3grand a month,Now has160k on it , found a maf at a junk yard in Vegas for 80 bucks ,Ha works great an saved a few bucks. Been a good car but will never buy another. the valve of them sucks . thanks Chestnut1
