Do you have to disconnect the captive hub/rotor assembly from the suspension/steering system before pulling it off with a slide hammer?My understanding is that you take the axel nut off and then pull the whole assy off with with the slide hammer.

 

Should be 2 screws on them then pound with a hammer.
You do not have to remove the axle nut.
