Hello,

I own a 1996 Hyundai Accent - 4 Door. The other day for some reason after going for a drive and starting up my car again my fuel gauge is not working anymore. All the other gauges are working properly (speed and temperature). I checked to see if the plug is properly installed and it is. Could this be a fuse problem or did the gauges just go bad and i need to replace the whole thing? If it is a fuse could anyone kindly advise as to where the fuse that is responsible for the fuel gauge is found?

What is the fuel gauge doing that makes you think it's not working?

 

The plugs in the dashboards that are connected to the gauges. Its been sitting below the E side and always empty no matter how much fuel in the tank ever since a couple days ago and cant figure out why. I am just hoping the sender unit didnt go out all of a sudden like that because i do not have any clue where it is located or how to even check if its not working. lol

 

Sounds like the sending unit to me. Time to open the tank.
