Default Brake light switch in Germany

Hello, I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent with a bad brake light switch. I've contacted Hyundai Europe and they say they'll get back to me in 7 to 10 days about the brake light switch. I can't go without a car that long and was wondering if someone knows if I can find out if a european brake light switch will work instead of an American one. I have one queued up and can order it from Amazon but it will take a week or 2 to get here.

Is there anything I can do to find out if europe has the same part or a part that will work until one from the states gets here? Thank you. I'm in Wiesbaden, Germany if it matters.
