Default 2001 Elantra Brakes

[:@] I have a 2001 Elantra without ABS brakes. It has Front discs and rear drums.
The brake pedal bottoms out andfdoes not provide good braking force (does not come close to locking up the wheels. Repeated bleeding does not solve the problem but there is always air in the front drivers side line. Have tried non metallic and semi metallic pades with no success.
Any ideas?

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing master cylinder.

Hmm... sounds like master cylinder. Is there any sign of fluidleakage anywhere?
