2012 Sonata Not Starting
I知 having a problem with my 2011 sonata it will not start I知 getting the dreaded click and nothing else. I have the pushbutton start when I press the button the car clicks then the whole car electric powers off if I tried again the same thing happens until the whole car will not respond and I get nothing on the dashboard. I have been running into problems with my key Fob or so I thought and I bought two new ones and had a locksmith out today to program them and he told me there is nothing wrong with my smart key that I have a short somewhere in the system. Does anybody have any ideas?

The first thing to do is to normalize the electrical system
This means cleaning any and all contacts
Electrical cables to and from the battery and the terminals
The grounding strap and the chassis
The engine grounding strap
The terminals to the starter
The terminals to the aternator
Clean them all
Note: Always be careful not to short anything and cause more problems
If this hasn't cleared up the issue then one can go about looking for the problem
