Default 2015 Elantra power steering help

Front right tire blew out. Caused damage to wheel well. EPS light is on and no power steering. I'm not familiar with electronic power steering. Is there a wire going to each front wheel, if so I assume this wire was cut when the tire shredded. Any help appreciated!

Always a good place to start is checking all the fuses. This can be done in less than a minute or two with the use of a test light. There is no need to remove any fuse to check if it is blown. If you have power at one end of the fuse ,you must have power at the other end . If not, the fuse is open. There are little openings on the tops of each fuse that a pointed test light contacts and it is not necessary to remove any fuse to check it. Some will only have power when the key is on or the button is pressed without stepping on the brake pedal which prevents the starter from operating.

Thanks hanky, I'll check fuses. I'm just concerned that when the tire blew, it damaged something inside the wheel well area that is contributing to the power steering failure

If you can, a good visual inspection can provide some insight if there is anything unusual noticed.

There are wires for the wheel speed sensor, that would affect the ESC, If for some reason your alignment was affected, your SAS may need to be reset to fix your power steering.
You might try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, it could reset something.
