Default Air Conditioning

I am experiencing a AC problem in a 2003 6cyl Sonata. I have rechared the system, checked the relays and fuses. A tech indicated that when they recharged the system no power was registered at the compresor. Any Ideas?

Default RE: Air Conditioning

Remove a/c compressor relay. Get a test light and see if you have 2 with voltage.(voltmeter is best) testlight works though.Ok if ya got 2 with voltage then test the other 2 for ground .This is with engine running.A/C on.Now to test for ground easy way is to put test light clamp on pos. while testing for grnd. Now if you only have one ground keep it on the pin that is ground and kill the car.Unplug compressor and then restart. If gound is gone then compressor is not problem. If ground goes away well, gotta get a voltmeter and test compressor windings to see if thermal fuse blown .which means compressor failure. Now back to if compressor not problem. If you do not get a ground from pcm you either have a bad thermister or triple pressure switch. Let us know.

Or if It's still under warranty, have the dealer take a look...
