Black Exhaust Soot On EQUUS
Anyone have a cure for black exhaust soot covering rear of EQUUS? Dealers say it’s a design flaw or bad fuel.
Have to use bug & tar remover to get it off. Very disappointed in Hyundai Equus.

Can you please provide 2 answers to the following,
Does it have a diesel engine
Does it have dual exhausts
The reason I ask is there may be something that can be done to help /prevent it from flying up there.
The answers you received so far and stated don't make much sense.
It appears to have dual exhausts.
Instead of allowing the exhaust to come straight out of the pipes, a slight metal deflector might be able to be installed to direct the exhaust down toward the ground and yet not interfere or create any type restriction problem. It might not even be noticed.
