I wouldn't think so.

Batt to Start cable .16v
Batt to charge/alt cable (in fuse box) .13v
battery- to engine (lift lug) .3v (dirty contacts due to paint etc. But Voltage drop doesn't seem to be too bad)
there's 3 cables on positive battery post, 1 to starter, 1 from alt fuse in fuse box, where's 3rd located? I really don't want to pull the loom to bits just to find where it goes lol.
is there a way I can feed correct voltage to solenoid on high pressure pump to see if things are willing to build up to pressure & start? Just trying to confirm a voltage issue as I've been chasing this problem for months.

Stupid question,
icon of car with key in it, I'm assuming security system icon.
Should that be illuminated while cranking?
I've never paid attention to it before so I don't know if it's normal.

Just for the fun of pulling things to bits. (And didn't the engineers HATE mechanics the day they designed that set-up).
I've removed crank sensor, cannot get any ohms readings across any of the pins. Including while waving a spanner across the pick-up, tried waving a magnet across the pick-up and still no continuity.

Update,
crank sensor made no difference.
Wiring all within spec.
all ground points now cleaned & tight.
I attempted to upload a video so you could see the fuel pressure whilst cranking but it won't allow the upload.
Daytime temps in mid to high 20's °C
Nights down around 5°C

best way to check for signal to injectors? I'm doubtful all 4 injectors would fail at once but it's not unheard of.

Can I test fuel pressure OTHER than trusting the sensor through OBD?

Cheers

Had a mate tell me if these engines have a injector fail, they basically shut down all injectors. Is this correct? Should I be testing injectors first??

Leak off tested ok.
checked for pulse to injectors, NOTHING, including when started with brake clean.
ECU?

Crank and cam sensors signal good.
Anyone with an idea of next direction to look?

Noticed that the security system/immobiliser icon illuminates the moment you push start button.
bring on accessories, ignition or cranking, icon stays illuminated

Spoke with a diesel specialist today, been told if ANY diesel comes out return line upon cranking that the over pressure valve on rail is shot.... awaiting Monday to order part.
