Today I drove my car without any problems. I turned my headlights on at dusk and forgot to turn them off when i got home. My neighbor let me know, but by the time I went outside, there was no power to anythIng. This was a total of less than 3 hours. 2 attempts at a boost - the first from another car and all I got was the start button temporarily lighting up. The second was from a portable battery starter and my car went nuts - poor attempt at the engine turning over, dashboard lights going off like crazy, car alarm beeping - but the charge did not take. Completely dead. What in the world is wrong with it? It's night time, all I have is Google and you.

 

There could be more than one problem.

My first thought is,,,,that vehicle battery is about 7 years old and time to be replaced.
After doing that , the problems just might go away , wait and see.
