Default E85 Gas

I have a new 07 Sonata 4 cyl. This is agreat car and engine. Unfortunately, I understand that it will not run on E85 formulated fuel. What happens If I were to run E85? Is Hyundai doing anything to resolve this delima? Will there be kits made available that will solve the problem and maintain the warranty? I suspect that sometime in the near future, unless we wake up and complain, E85 will be the only fuel available, with it's poor performance and higher price.

Default RE: E85 Gas

Cars designed to run on E85 have special computers and fuel systems to allow them to do so. No, your Sonata is not designed to run on E85. Hyundai may or may not build a car in the future designed to run on E85 but nothing currently. No, there is no "kit" that will allow you do run on E85 and keep your warranty. And don't worry, there will be plenty of standard gasoline available to outlast the life of your car and everone alive today. It isn't going away any time soon.
