Elantra Touring stereo kit?

Elantra Touring stereo kit?
I love my 2012 Elantra Touring, however, I am experiencing some problems with the stereo. It intermittently shuts off and is becoming more of an "off" than "on" issue as of late. The dealer said it's $1500 to replace with the stock unit (so, no thanks) and my local reputable car stereo installer says I need to supply a specific installation kit for an aftermarket stereo which they do not stock because it's specific to the Elantra Touring.
Anyone else experience the same issue and have a link to the kit I will need?
Thanks in advance!

A little side note,
Vehicles after 2008 use a CAN system. (Controller Area Network)
Sometimes the radio is one of the modules in the network and it would be a wise move to check this out with your dealership service dept..
If certain communication in the network gets altered or interrupted strange things begin to take place. Among them is failure to start, lack of communication within the network and it can go from there.
Good idea to check this out before buying something you may not be able to use.Might work now, but up the road , ?
