I have a car, a Hyundai Accent 1.3 (4 doors), bought at 1998. It is like the image I attach.
Lately, I have noticed that in the exterior of the car, just below the engine, there is something that protrudes (downwards) nearby the car chassis, in both sides, right and left. I bent over and looked, as far as I could, and seemed indeed some thick plastic plates that protrude downward.
Does anyone know what it is? Can it be dangerous?
I observed other cars that were passing on the street, of other brands, and I did not noticed something similar.
That thing that protrudes (downwards) nearby the car chassis, in both sides, is like these, in the picture I attach, shown with the arrows.
But in my case, protrudes more than this pictures show.
They protrude so much, that I think, doesn’t look normal.
