Please help!!!! Someone must know what to do?
Hi,
I'm trying to replace my timing belt. Everything was going slow and steady and then i hit a snag. I can't relieve the tension of the tensioner. I spent over five hours trying to move this freaking tensioner. I easily, remove the bolt on the right sight of the tensioner. I think it's called the adjuster bolt. After that the entire tensioner would still not move. I thought maybe to loosen the other bolt on the left side. On the left side of the tensioner there is a spring with the bolt on top. I tried to turn the bolt but it won't budge. I used a breaker bar and serpentine tool and it seems like its ruining the bolt and not moving an inch. I think it might be due to the spring underneath. I think it's pushing to much into the bolt. Does anyone have any suggestions to free up the tensioner. Any help is greatly appreciated. The entire procedure is easy. It's just these problems that can set you back many many hours. Hopefully I clearly explained my dilemma.
