I have an 04 accent with a 1.6L, it has some trans slips issues that point to the kickdown servo switch. Trans was replaced under factory warranty last year but warranty has since expired. How tough is this switch to replace on the ground without a lift, it is tough to find a good diagram showing replacement. top end looks easy just curious about the bottom part of the repair where it mounts to the transmission

 

The servo switch is only used to tell the TCM if the servo piston is applied or released..

I do not recall the specific motion, but it is either " ON - OFF - ON - OFF " or " OFF - ON - OFF - ON " with the 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 shift pattern..

P-1709 typically indicates servo is sticking in the trans case bore, and you can view it in the current data screen of Hi-Scan or GDS along with gear position and watch the "ON - OFF" pattern..
