I am a new member, I purchased an Accent last year. I have had problems with the check engine light. The car would bog down to about 1000 RPM. The dealership replaced the piston gasket for 3 and 4. I just had another issue today wtih the car. Is this a problem that any of you have had and how did the dealership rectifty this issue. I probably can get you the computer code tomorrow. THanks.

 

What is a piston gasket? I think the mechanic is BS'ing you or you heard wrong. I'd suggest taking it to a different dealership.

 

Ok here is the story from my girlfriend, she says that piston 3 and 4 are miss firing. Any ideas? is this a common problem

 

For an '07 Accent? Not that's not common. Take it to a dealer that knows what they are doing.
