Default 2001 Accent GL

well im new to this forum .. I AM THE PROUD owner of a SILVER and CHARCOAL , 2001 Hyundai Accent GL . IT HAS A 1.6 L 4 CYL. YEA ITS A 4 DOOR! I HAVE SOME MINOR UPGRADES SUCH AS A STEREO SYSTEM, TYPE V PERF EXHAUST, 16 IN MOTEGI RIMS W/YOKOHAMA TIRES, ICEMAN INTAKE , DENSO IRIDIUM PLUGS, (which i do not like ) , Also IT HAS TINTED WINDOWS AND , AN AFTER MARKET SPOILER , EUROTAILLIGHTS, AND AFTERMARKET HEADLIGHT W/ WHITE TURN SIGNAL LENSES , I CURRENTY DO NOT HAVE A BODY KIT B/C OF WHERE I LIVE ..LOTS OF BACKROADS, N LOTS OF HOLES AND DIRT ,...WHERE CAN I GET A LOWERING KIT TO LOWER IT ABOUT 1/34 INCHES ? AND IF YOU GOT ANY IDEAS OF HOW TO GET MORE POWER OUT OF MY CAR IM OPEN TO IDEAS ..THANX.

Well, welcome aboard!!! Quite an impressive array of accessories you have there. You might be able to tweek the motor a bit more but, unless your adding nitrius or a turbo or replacing it you'll have to live with the excellent preformance you already have. As for lowering, haven't found much. Good Luck though!!

Now that you got the basic upgrades out of the way it is time to move up. If you aren't ready for an induction boost or have the nerves for internal work there is a free and easy alternative. You can port and polish your intake manifold. If you are really on the ball then you can shave the head a little. I had done both to my Accent with suprising results.
