Default 2012 Accent

Hello everybody!

Just bought an Accent and so far am very happy with it. Just wondering if anyone could help me with one question I have. When I plug my mobile phone into the the USB port for charging it initially starts to try and read for music on the phone. LOL I do not have any music on my phone. So I just go back to the radio and then a few minutes later it starts again with the trying to read for music. If I don't click the radio button eventually it goes back to the radio after not finding music on my phone. What I would like to know is, is there a way for me to plug in my phone into the USB port for charging without the car trying to find music on my phone? Thanks in advance for any assistance somebody can offer!

You need a better cable, its losing connection on either the usb end or the phone end. Each time it looses connection and then reconnects the radio sees that as pluging in something new.

I am using the cable that came with the phone. I will try others that I have and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks!

Are you using the cable that you use with the charger? My car came with the iPod cable but I tried using the charger cable from my iPhone and it did the same thing. I'm not sure why it does it, but I know if you buy the cable from Hyundai (or wherever else you can find it for cheaper!) that has the extra prong thing at the end then it will work.
