Default 2012 Accent problem with park to reverse

Hello, I hope I'm posting this in the right spot! I purchased a 2012 Accent just last week. It's at 42,000 miles and I wasn't having any issues until last night. I went to leave and went to put the car, from park, into reverse and it moved violently. As if we were hit by another car. I moved it back into park and back into reverse again, same response. I turned off the car and turned it back on, it was smooth with no issues. I went to work this morning and again no issues, but upon leaving work the car "jumped" again. Turned it off and back on and it was once again fine. Has anyone had this happen or know what it is? I did just purchase the car so I'm kind of irritated I'm having an issue. Although is it possibly something I am just doing wrong (parking brake not all the way off or something)? Any advice would be great! I do love this little car but I don't want to put money into a car that I just got. Thanks!

Take the car to a Hyundai dealer, it's still under warranty. 5yr or 60000 miles to a second owner. The problem may be a trans temp sensor or a pulse generator problem.
