Default AC KIT for hyundai accent\blue trim

Guys:

I just recently bought the accent\blue, however it does not come with an AC. Has anyone added an AC to accent?

Thanks

.Cesar

Hyundai does not offer an A/C kit in a box that I know of...

Back in late '80 to early-mid '90, Toyota offered factory A/C in a box... those were easy to do.. Do a Camry in about 90 minutes with 2 people, 1 inside, the other outside.. I loved doing Toyota A/C kits..

For Hyundai, some of the stuff the way it is put together would likely make it cost prohibitive, buying single bolts for everything, hoses/tubes, brackets/pulleys, compressor, evaporator, condensor, drain tube, and all kinds of other silly little stuff that would dollar you to no end.. besides intergallactic back-order of something you find you need in the middle of the install.... then is the car already wired for the A/C...

Arrow AC KIT for hyundai accent\blue trim

The car AC\ready. Thats the reason I figure that I could added after the fact. But I been calling the hyundai dealers and most of than do not do it and the one dealer wanted like $200.00. For the kind of money I preffer to sufer. If I manage ti find an AC kit, how hard is it to put in?

its actually not that bad, the mount points for the equipment are already there as well as the spot for the belt on the main pulley...or you change the belt to allow it to run the compressor i can't remember.

other than that run the hard lines and wiring through the firewall and behind the dash. its time consuming, but if you already work on cars not that bad...

the problem is getting it charged with the refrigerant. its controlled by law in most countries and you'd need a licence. HOWEVER there are aftermarket refrigerants that are environmentally friendly and non toxic now so they get around that law. red tek is the only one i can think of off the top of my head.

Default AC KIT for hyundai accent\blue trim

I have some experience with cars, but my body is a mechanic. He offer to help put the AC in. Now all I have to do is find an AC kit at a good price. The best price I seen this far is like $890.00 for the kit.

On a different topic, I know there are some threads that deal M/C on the accent. In case anyone is interested I just finish my first tank and got 39M/G. Which is on the high side base on what I been reading.

So far, the only Accent Blue were 2010 2-door hatchback models.
