Default Accent 96 (P Reg) Heating

Ok i apologise if this has been done before - am new here and have inherited a 1996 P Reg Accent coupe. Very nice car - however have noticed that the heating/blowers do not come on - i can hear a click behind the steering wheel when i move the slider to the 1 position etc but no fans, lucky summer is coming but would like to get sorted - thought may be a fuse but do not know where to start as no diagrams etc.
Any help really appreciated and idea of cost if needing to be a repair job

Thanks desperately
Darren
