Air conditioning, how should sound like?
Hi guys,
I own a 2005 1.6L Accent, and recently I went to do 15.000km service check.
The guys told me that my air conditioning system is not functioning properly.
So, when I start my A/C system, the "compressor"? (sorry, I'm not sure how it's called in English the device that actually produce de cold air) will not stay always connected to engine, but from time to time will stop, then will start again. I know because I can hear it, and also I feel it in the engine run.
And today I went with another Accent, 2003 model with 1.3L engine that does exactly the same things.
Are both cars faulty, or this behaviour is normal?
Please tell me!
Thank you very much!

no mate the compressor does not run continuosly. when the pressure in the a/c system reaches a certain amount the compressor clutch disengages. if your a/c is getting cold then its working ok .
Thank you very much, I'm so relief!
And yes, both cars are cooling the air quite well.
Well, I know the mechanics here are bad, but now I realise they are disaster!
