Which is the best oil to use in the Accent, regular oil or syn? This will be the first oil change.

 

Castrol GTX in plain white bottle, 5/30 in my 75 mile round trip daily driver Celica with 321,400+ mile on it..

Wife 2005 Sedona with 3.5L gets Mobil-1 5/30.. and the '93 Corolla get same oil as the Celica, it has 180,000 on it.

The GTX get changed 3000 - 3500 mile, the Celica might go 4000 due to interstate both ways.

 

Any API certified oil will work. If you plan on changing your oil every 3,000 or so miles (as specified by the severe maintenance schedule), using a synthetic offers no advantage over conventional.
