Default Best oil for 05 Accent

What is the best oil to use for a 2005 Accent with 17k miles on it?

My car is scheduled for its first oil change on Saturday.

Your car has 17K miles on it and it's not had an oil change? HOLY CRAP!!

Or do you mean you just got it, and that it has 17K on it, and you're fixing to do the first oil change?

I just put 10W30 in my 1.6L Accent. That is what the manual calls for. I'd go higher or lower, depending on your climate. I live in the south, where it's relatively warm most of the year.

We have an '06 accent and it requires 5-20 or 5-30 oil according to the manual.
I use mobil 1 5- 20 full synthetic in ours with a Mobil 1 oil filter.
it ow has 19,000 miles on it.
Getting ready to have its first tranny service at 20k as well.
