Default Code P1128 MAF sensor?

Just bought a 2000 Hyundai Accent 4dr 1.5L. Check engine light came on about an hour later. Checked the code and it came out P1128, as i understand the engine is running lean. After doing some research it looked like the MAF sensor could be to blame. I took it off to look at it and it looked really clean. I replaced it and started the engine, which immediately stalled. This happened a few more times with the gas petal sometimes being unresponsive. Once i revved the engine a bit it seemed to idle fine. The car has not stalled on me since i bought it until after i removed and put back in the MAF. Wondering if this is proof that the MAF is going bad, or could the code still be the result of bad O2 sensors or even another problem? Thanks for your help.
