Well, i just got my Hyundai Accent, and it didnt have a radio, so i installed a new one (cutting off the old plug, and wiring everythign togeather. But now the dash light wont turn on.

I took it all apart and now they still wont turn on. All the fuses are good. the headlights work, and all the warning lights and everythin works, but the dash lights still wont come on.

Anybody have any ideas? and how is the radio wired into the dash lights?

Oh and does any one have a wiring diogram that i can have? Its all for a 1997 Hyundai Accent GT. ( 3 door hatchback automatic if it make any difference)

 

Are you sure you just didn't accidently bump the dash light dimmer?

 

I think there is only wiring problem. Just check it once again.

 

i know for a fact its not the dimmer. And even when all the wires are disconnected the dash lights wont come on. But when there was no radio there was just a plug and it wasn't conencted to anything. No 2 wires were going to 1 spade, and i cant see if there are any bridges between 2 wires. Anybody know if there is?

A wiring diagram would be Awesome!

Sorry it took so long for post, but it woulden't let me reply before....

And im going to go all threw it once tommarrow, ill post back with results.

 

ok, well it ended bring a bad fuse, and wires connected wrong, but it is fixed now... soo
