Default Grounding wire.

Has anyone installed an upgraded engine bay grounding kit? Like using 8ga/4ga wire to ground the motor and trans to the ground and replacing the battery ground wires?

I have seen this advertised and don't really know if what they claim about high speed/idle stabilization and sound system performance is worth the time. Any thoughts about this?

It does make a difference, but not a big one performance wise. By the way of sound systems on the other hand, it makes a phenominal difference because you have cleaner better balanced power. So depending on what your looking for the choice is up to you.

Nauticus,
Poachers right on this one!!! Huge difference pertaining to the sound system. Performance wise, you might get quicker starts in the cold but, other then that it's a personnal prefrence. I'm doin' that in the spring, upgrading the plugs & wires.
Have fun,
Brant

Brant,
If you are going to upgrade your plugs and wires might I also suggest that you pick up an ignition coil as well. MSD is one of the best companies around for that, check it out.

No problem Brant. If you can get a hold of that ignition coil then you will see an upgrade in performance.

Is there someplace out there that has a plug wire kit for the 1.6l? Or is it just finding wires that are the right length? I have been looking around and haven't found anything.

Nauticus,
I too have been looking for enhanced wires with no luck at local dealers. I would suggest looking at Nology they have a wide selection from what I hear. That is where I am going to look next.

Gentleman,
For larger type wires theres not much out there for us however, I did custom wires for my wife's Wrangler. They were super easy to do. I think I'm gonna wind up doin' the same for the Hyundai if I decide to upgrade the wires.
