idle control valve help
Hi
I was told that it is better to replace the idle control valve than try to clean it, since it may cause more problems-could this be true-
any help/advice is much appreciated-thanks in advance

Idle air control valve cleaning is often needed, since it gets clogged with dirt, and it is also easy to clean it. Unless the solenoid has stopped working or jammed, you do not need to buy new one. Use an Ohm meter to test the solenoid, the reading should be in between 7-15 Ohms. If it is not, the only thing you can do is replace the Hyundai Accent Idle Air Control Valve
