Locked car no alarm during break in
So my car was broken into earlier this week, it was locked at the time. They didn't get anything because I don't keep anything of value in my car, but they made a mess of throwing the contents of my glove box and console all over the car. The alarm never went off and I can't figure out how they broke in without doing that (windows not broken, door not punched). Should I be worried that the alarm has been disconnected or overridden? Anyone else heard of this happening?

So, I take it that your car is one which has keyless entry?
There are now thieves that can copy your key fob signal when you use it to on your doors.
They come back later and steal your car
Others are even more sophisticated.
They use relay boxes and ping your key fob to get the signal
Wonders of modern tech????
There are other ways also.

Something you might consider,
When leaving your car and want to lock the doors, depress the lock button or just do it manually and close the door. The vehicle should be locked and that way no one can copy your code. Unfortunately , some systems won't set the alarm.
