looking to buy accent
i am currently considering buying a 1g 1997 accent. can anyone give me any info on this car?
are they good on gas...what should io look for when im going to buy this car? are they reliable? etc.

Have the vehicle in question inspected by YOUR OWN technician, otherwise you may stuck with a junker.
Look at the front control arms for rot, and front struts for rot/ added bolt on supports under the spring bracket on the struts.
Pay your tech for inspection, and maybe save you some grief in the end.
