I HAVE AN ACCENT 2006 1600 cc
WITH map sensor made by Kefico P/N 39300-38110
TO TROUBLESHOOT THE MAP SENSOR, I HAVE 4 PINS,
CAN SOME ONE IDENTIFY THESE PINS AS POWER GROUND, SIGNAL AND THE NAME and function OF THE FOURTH ONE?
WHAT VOLTAGE IS EXPECTED ON EACH PIN AND THE OUTPUT AT DIFFERENT MANIFOLD IF POSSIBLE

 

Before getting into some possible unnecessary testing, what if you were to tell us just why you suspect the MAP sensor.

Has your vehicle been checked for any codes in the computer?

 

i have a dispute with the repair cost estimate and decided to look into the problem myself with an avionics design background i believe i can succeed.
with enough understanding of electronic engine controls what i need is the details .
i decided to start the trouble shooting with the MAP and i am looking for a repair manual for the 06 ACCENT

 

That is all well and good, however, you did not answer my question,
I have sufficient knowledge of how vehicle emission and control systems function and I believe you may be on a wild goose chase To be able to share some of that knowledge and experience , it would be most helpful if we had some idea of what symptoms your vehicle may be displaying.
You might consider contacting "Helm Inc" and you probably could obtain an electronic copy of a shop manual that should answer your questions since not all vehicles or Map sensors are the same. Their function may be similar , but each manufacturer uses their own designs.
