My 2007 Accent just stopped (wound down/faded to a stop) on the road. I tried to start it several times not knowing the implications; if I put a new timing belt on it, why should I rotate the engine two revolutions as I've heard do? At what point in the installation do I rotate? Could someone give me a few details please?

How many miles are on the car? Was the timing belt ever changed? How fast were you going when the engine died?

If the timing belt broke while running, just replacing the belt won't help. A broken timing belt while running means the pistons hit the valves and you will prbably need major cylinder head work.
