Question Ok,one more short ram intake question and then thats it!!

!Well I can deal with that little (POOF) sound of the compression when you turn off the engine, one person told me to hook back up the OEM filter system and I did.. and the sound was still there but not as noticable. So I put the short ram back on . Anyway my question is ,today when I was sitting in the drive through of KFC I was wondering how the engine temp was going to affect the short ram so after getting my food I popped the hood and of course everything was warm to the touch including the pipe, filter and heat shield,. When the car is just sitting at idle ,does all the heat that is generated affect the engine when the filter is gobbling it up i

Thank You

Sure, heat will kill power. However, it will also help fuel economy. But since the Accent is an economy car and not a race car, that is a good thing.
