i recently purchased a 2000 accent. Its a standard and when i shift into 3rd it makes a weird sound but does nothing. 3rd doesnt seem to be working all other gears are fine, i can avoid 3rd and theres no issues. Is the transmission no more good?

 

I doesn't sound like an optimal situation. Does the stick move into position like it should? Does if feel like the trans went into third?
