Is there a trick to this? Wheel bearing reapirs...
So, I am simply try to do some what I would call minor repairs to by Girlfriends 2000 Accent. Ever since we have been together I have been fixing stuff he families mechanic said was pointless or couldn't be done. All really easy repairs, lincluding simply replacing a washer fluid pump (something very much needed in New England)
I suspect she has a driver wheel bearing going. So I bought the part and started to take the hub assembly off. I don't think any of this stuff has been taken apart in the past 12 years.
Are there any tips to getting the rotor off, ball joint, and outer tie rod? All three of these parts I have never had a problem getting these off other vehicles, but even the rotor refuses to come off. I thought perhaps people would have some tips. Or are these parts so stuck I prob have no choice but to go spend money at a mechanic?

I just took my 2000 Accent to Pep Boys for a wheel bearing and found out the ball joint got bad. If you got a bearing press, then all you would need to do is get a rubber mallet and knock it loose. If it doesn't, then to the shop I would take it.
