'02 Electrical Issues Draining my Battery

Hi Folks,

I'm running into the problem of the light in my driver door, brake light, and passenger-rear light not turning off when the car is turned off (key out of the ignition). Thus it's draining my battery. At first I thought it was only my brake light. I looked it up and fiddled with the cable connected to the brake pedal. It seemed to work, but later on that day it came back on.

I then unplugged the cable from the positive terminal of the battery, but in the morning the car was still dead. If I jump it then the car runs normal. I drove it to work (about 25 miles) and unplugged the cable. I was able to start the car when it came time to go home, but I did notice that the spark on the terminal wasn't strong when I reconnected the cable. So; that leads me to believe that I'm having some sort of electrical issue.

Where can I start or how can I narrow this down? Thanks.

Bad BCM (Body Control Module). Not a cheap fix.
