Default 2001 Elantra GT Keyless Entry

I just bought a 2001 Elantra GT with 54K on it and I love it! I only have one remote for the keyless entry system. I would like to buy another. Does anyone have the part number or FCC ID for it so I can buy one on Ebay and not pay my dealer 100 bucks for a new one? Also, is it the same remote for 01-04 or is it specific for an 01?
Thanks

As far as I know if you buy them on ebay and it messes up your security system you are basically S.O.L. I had the dealer do me a new key for 275.00, I would have rather paid 100.00 anyday!!! Also, The dealer should automatically give you two keys and two keyless entry remotes with buying the vehicle, so you might check into why you didn't recieve two of them.

its not going to screw up anything. Just pick one up off ebay. I think the 01-03 elantra keyless will work, 04 and newer they changed the remote

I had a new one from the factory reprogrammed yesterday. They had to reprogram both keyed remotes at the same time at the dealership. For some reason when I bought the car new they sent me a third remote in the mail. It didn't work till it was reprogrammed yesterday.

If you buy a key fob on the internet or whatever, you should be able to code it yourself (01-03 only). Here is a link to how to do it: http://egt.gwebworks.com/garage4.shtml. Note that even though it says it works for 01-04 models, the 04 is different and requires a tool that only dealers usually have. When that article was written the 04s had just come out and the author did not know of the change.
