I have a 04 Hyundia elantra w/ 41K miles. I can't remember if this car has a 4 speed auto, or a 5 speed auto. I notice here lately that the car is sucking alot of fuel. At 60 mph I'm running at 2.5 rpms. At 80 I'm closer to 3000 rpms. Can this be right? I never really paid that close attention to it. Just wanted to get some feed back before I sent it to the dealer. It still has a 100K mile warrenty

It has a 4-speed auto. However, it can feel like it shifts into a 5th gear when the converter locks up. Very normal. The RPM's and speeds also sound normal.

Thanks Nova..I could have swore it had a 5 speed auto. I have never taken it to the dealer so I think It's due for a check up.
