I recently bought a 2007 Elantra with less than 30K miles on it. I like many things about the car, but not its ride. Specifically, the front end is both stiff and loose feeling (a bad combination), exagerating the bump in every expansion joint or pothole. [:@]

The front tires were new when I bought the car, and now I think the front driver-side tire may be slightly cupped, afterlessthan 5K milles.At highway speeds,that wheelfeels particularly loose, even slightly shaky.

I realize many factors (alignment, balance, etc.) can cause these symptoms, but before Ibring the car to the dealer I'd like to know if anyone has personal experience or special wisdom about front end issues with 07 Elantras.

[align=left]Sounds like you have "hard" struts like I did. My 99 Elantra had struts so hard they wouldn't give at all. I replaced them and the tires at the same time, now all is well. You have to check the ball joints and tie rod ends, but probably they are ok since it's only 30k. After doing struts, an alignment is in order too.
