Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default 2010 Genesis Coupe to 2012 Elantra GLS...FTW

Wife is tired of 18mpg & crawling up and out of her 2010 Genesis Coupe. She wants to have something more mpg & more passenger friendly soooo, here we go. 2012 Elantra GLS. Payment 50.00 less a month, probably twice the mpg on avg. Getting tint & wing thrown in, already has fogs. Black with grey interior. Basically getting even swap on her 2010 trade in. The GC was OK, it was the base 2.0T, but I wasn't overly impressed with the powerband and definitely not impressed with the mpg. It got worse mpg than my 05 Tacoma Access Cab Prerunner with 33" tires lifted 2.5" got. Didn't have problem with build quality and only mod on it was the HIDs I put in. That is why we are going with the Elantra. I'll be back to post up before and after pics once we pick it up. They are tinting windows and getting/painting the wing so we won't be picking it up until Friday. Glad to not see any major widespread issues on the new gen Elantras here. Not sure if that means nobody has issues or nobody much has these cars...........

People busted a move for us and got us the car with tint and wing done Wednesday. It's the black pearl noir color. Likin the pearl on it. Also weaseled a Hyundai coffee travel mug & keychain along with a 2011 sales brochure since they don't have the 2012 brochures yet. Diggin the homelink/auto dimming/compass mirror too...didn't know it came with that. Seating room is nice. Car is shorter and narrower than the GC but more elbow room and much more leg room in back seats. Don't know who did it but all the tires had 60 lbs of pressure in them. The TPMS light was on when the wife drove it home so figured the spare was low. Nope, all 4 tires had over 55 lbs in them. Max for the tire was 44, door says 32 all around so just dropped them all down and light went off. Luckily we don't live far from dealership. Woulda hated poppin one. Crazy tho. I know, I know.....pics. I'll get some this wknd.

Hey, still happy with the Elantra? Got a '99, thinking of moving up to something built in this century.

The tire and wheel alone are probably $130.

And as far as the sales guy not telling you, that's not his job. It's your job to do the research. Is he supposed to tell you all the things that do NOT come with the car?
