Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default 2011 Front License Plate Mount

Is there a mounting bracket for the 2011 Elantra front license plate? It looks like the dealer just used 2 screws and put them right into the front bumper plastic.

I'm lost here. The front of my front bumper is smooth. I can't really get behind the bumper at all, and I'm not sure how I'd use threaded holes there anyway. Is there some irony here that I'm missing, or is there really some alternative to drilling holes in my bumper?

Holes BEHIND the bumper? OK...how is one supposed to get to them?

FYI...theare are NO license plate mounting holes in the front bumper of a 2011 Elantra and Hyundai USA says you have to drill holes in the bumper cover to mount a front license plate. Absolutely freaking ridiculous!

Actually, most modern cars are that way now. Usually there are small indentations in the bumper where you are to drill. Basically you just use self-tapping screws that do the drilling and mounting.

I have the opposite problem. My dealership punched holes in the front for a license plate and I hate it. Anyone have a suggestion of what can be done to repair the ugly, jagged holes they punched in the plastic?
