2011 Hyundai Elantra 2011 SmartKey
Need information as I can't find it anywhere in the manual. My smart Key Fob comes with a mechanical key that can be removed from the Fob> Since there are no locks on the exterior of the car, and as far as I can tell there are no ignition locks near the front panel, the steering column, or front display... what the heck is this key" for???? And yes I'veual multiple times and cannot find anything on this!!! Also, could not find instruction in the manual on how to change the battery in the smart key? Can anyone help me with these two questions!!! Your help and advise is truly appreciated!! Thank You!!!! :-)

There should be key holes in at least the drivers door and the trunk. It's in the handle of the door. See page 4-6 of your owners manual:
