2015 Elantra trunk won't open
Hi all,
My trunk recently became stuck. Using the lever next to the driver seat or the key fob, I can hear the mechanism clicking but the trunk itself won't open. The trunk itself doesn't have a key hole for me to try and manually open it. I can't pull down the seats from the inside because of course the levers to release the seats are also in the trunk.
I lifted the coverings for the child seat hooks but I can't see or feel any mechanism under that would release the trunk.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sometimes if there is excessive pressure preventing the lid from being free to allow release of the locking mechanism, the release cannot do it's job.
Also , if someone pushed down on the lid while the release is activated , it might allow the release to function.
