I received a letter saying my car is due for its 30,000 mile checkup. I went to my dealership and checked the cost. I was told it is $475 dollars and takes several hours. The letter stated everything they do in the checkup. My question is if this checkup is worth the price and is it necessary?

I own a 2005 Elantra that now has 31,500 miles.

 

That's a little high. The big things for the 30K is flushing the trans and coolant.
