Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default Clock and blinking ":"

2001 Elantra.....does anyone know if the ":" on the clock is always blinking, or does this mean it never left the "set" mode? Clock is showing correct time.

Still no fix on tachometer going to 0 with momentary loss of power...ck engine light flashes, but does not stay on.Dealer is going to try new fuse box under dash. Spending $$$ with no results so far. Any ideas?

Default RE: Clock and blinking ":"

One SMALL problem solved...on the loaner the dealer gave us, the ":" blinks constantly....I guess that is not the problem.

However the Elantra is STILL at the dealership trying to find why the check engine light flashes and the tachometer momentarily goes to 0....i.e. car loses power for and instant. Very frustrating and costly!
