Default Dumb captive rotors

Hey,

I have those dumb captive rotors on my 1998 elantra. Unfortunately it's now time to have them change because they warped and there is a huge shaking in the brake pedal, alson since I want to go fast with my car, I'm starting by some good brakes.

I would like to know if it's possible to swap for a non captive setup? If so, is there any DIY I haven't found yet. Has anyone of you here ever done this transformation? Or maybe I should stick to the captive one?

why the hell did they invent those thing?
